Jasper joins the Jersey Sailing fleet
Tuesday 28th July 2009, 2:59PM BST.
JERSEY Sailing has added a new vessel to its fleet.
The one-year-old Sunseeker, Jasper, has been in action for three weeks now and can accommodate a group of up to eight people.
The power boat is the latest venture for the company’s founder, Will Carnegie, who started his business last, year focusing on practical sailing skills.
‘We now have access to six yachts and the RYA courses have been incredibly popular,’ said round-the-world yachtsman Mr Carnegie. ‘But I want to try something different every year and with all the doom and gloom I thought it would be good to power into 2009.
‘I see power boating as an untapped opportunity, both for tuition and corporate events. It is the part of the business which is growing fastest, with more and more people moving to power from the sailing side.’
