A WOMAN is hoping to find an aunt and cousin whom she has never met and who may be living in Jersey.

Carol Cooke, of Galway, is trying to trace her aunt Joan Mary Cooke, her aunt’s friend Michael Mace, and Joan’s daughter Tara Joan Cooke.

Carol says that Joan, originally from Galway, separated from her husband (Carol’s uncle) and later met Michael Mace, of Jersey. She believes that they moved to what was his family home, Villetri Villa, Vallée des Vaux, St Helier, in 1963 or 1964.

Carol’s cousin Tara Cooke was born in St Helier on 28 June, 1963 – the same year that Carol herself was born – and she knows that they were all resident at the house in 1964.

‘I know that the house was purchased by Lady Norman at around this time,’ said Carol. ‘I would love to meet my cousin. People that knew my aunt in Galway said she was lovely. If she is still alive, I would love to get to know her.’

Carol, who is married with two children, added that Michael also had an aunt who lived in St Clement.
