Dingle reigns in Manchester conditions
Saturday 1st August 2009, 2:59PM BST.
JERSEY motorcyclist Bruce Dingle continues to lead both the SXV and SM Cup classes of the British Super Motard Championships after a good weekend of racing recently.
The sixth and seventh rounds of the championships were held at Sportcity, near the City of Manchester Stadium, on 18-19 July in wet conditions and Dingle took the top positions on the podium in both SXV rounds as well as a first and third overall in the SM Cup to maintain his championship leads.
While, at the same meeting, fellow Jerseyman Mick Bertram took 10th overall in Saturday’s SM Cup but was forced to retire on the Sunday after a crash and is currently placed fourth overall in the championship.
