Time to apply for the CIM awards
Tuesday 4th August 2009, 3:00PM BST.
MARKETERS are now being invited to submit their applications for this year’s Chartered Institute of Marketing Excellence awards.
There are ten categories in all, including a new award for creative communications.
Earlier this month the CIM Jersey branch appealed for financial support and Jersey Post has now come forward as a top-level sponsor to assure the continuation of the popular annual event.
The theme of the presentation evening on 20 November will be Studio 54, the iconic celebrity discotheque famous in 1970s New York, known for its flamboyance and glamour.
Launching the awards last week, branch chairman Steve Cartwright said this theme had been chosen because it symbolised the height of the 1970s recession and ‘the innovation and creativity that great marketing can achieve, even in times of economic downturn’.

I’d like to commend HSBC for making their entire marketing team redundant.
They will now shift operations to the UK where they will discover that Jersey is a bespoke market that needs an indiginous team. They will then set about setting up another team having disposed of the highly talented team they just sacked.
