At least they’re good at making excuses
Wednesday 12th August 2009, 2:59PM BST.
From Terry Connor.
SO Senator Le Sueur said that he thought that it had been done, but didn’t actually bother to check.
Senator Ozouf, a full three months into the job, said that if it hadn’t been done, then it certainly wasn’t his fault, as he must somehow or other have inherited the problem.
But now that it was out in the open, he would certainly cover his tail by immediately instigating ‘full disciplinary action’, thus diverting the finger directly towards Mr Black.
But Mr Black said that it wasn’t his fault, but rather Mr Richardson’s. Mr Ogley then stepped on to the stage and said that it wasn’t Mr Richardson, but Mr Black who was to blame.
The Chief Minister’s department then brought down the final curtain on the whole pantomime by announcing that the matter is now closed as: ‘All disciplinary action concerning the exchange rate debacle over the Incinerator has been concluded’.
So whatever really happened? Well, you should bear in mind that we, those who even bothered to vote, have elected a ‘secretocracy’ and what they do is none of our business – it is only our money that is involved.
