JERSEY have included four new caps to face Guernsey in the Standard Bank junior golf inter-insular which will take place at the Royal Jersey Golf Club on the August Bank holiday weekend.

The host club’s Nick Wildman, Dan Scriven and Ben Rose are included for the first time together with La Moye’s James Gibaut will be keen to extend Jersey winning run to 11.

The Royal Jersey trio should be hard to beat on their home course, as Jersey bid to retain the honours, while Gibaut has become a good Matchplay golfer and he proved the point last Sunday when he took Royal Jersey and former Island player Robbie Messervy to the 18th in the inter-club men’s match for the Keal Cup.

Scratch golfer Sam Crenan, of the Royal, has been named as team captain. The full team is: Crenan, Steven Anderson (4 handicap), Joe Houzé (4), Nick Wildman (5), Dan Scriven (5) and Ben Rose (6) all Royal Jersey and Chris Young (3), James Newton (5) and James Gibaut (7) all La Moye.
