What a wonderful space

From Ralph McKenzie.
I STOOD at my hotel window watching people playing boules in the sunshine at the new area that was once the bus terminal.

I remembered a few years back when I was in Japan, as part of my studies, watching some workmen pile driving in an open space like your Weighbridge and I learned that they were constructing a huge activities area of steel and glass for people to enjoy their favourite sports of ti chin, basketball, tennis, badminton, etc, all under glass all year round in comfort.

The thought struck me as I was standing there what a wonderful space you have at the Weighbridge and wondered what it would look like if it was covered in and available all year round for your sports and other activities.

You could have weekly markets with local produce and occasional French farmers’ markets too, Christmas markets (similar to Germany), possibly an ice rink and roller skate park as well as boules, badminton, basketball and put down artificial grass for indoor bowls and cricket, etc.

I believe you have an area with great potential and a real money spinner too. You know what they say about daft ideas: ‘Only very intelligent people believe in them’. I wish it were my space, I would go for it big time.
