A VINTAGE unbeaten 63 from Matt Hague helped Optimus to victory over St Ouen for the Senior Cup on Saturday.
Played for the first time in the Twenty20 format Optimus reached the final following a five wicket win over Rathbones OV earlier in the day.
They faced St Ouen who broke down only a nine-strong Aztec Springfield, no doubt cursing the fixture clash with Jersey Live, to progress with a 154 run triumph.
In the final, regular high scorer Ryan Driver’s early dismissal brought Hague into play in the first over and he was quickly reaching the boundaries and heading towards the Man of the Match honour.
