The Dominion Winter Netball League season opened last night with champions Convent securing a comfortable victory, even though they were one player down for most of the match.
The team beat St Lawrence B comfortably at Les Quennevais, despite the fact that Sarah Thatcher had to retire after about four minutes because of a knee injury.
They continued with just six players for the rest of the game which they won 64-35.
