Snooker: Scotland draw a highlight

JERSEY’S snooker team beat the Isle of Man 10-8 for their only win in the Home Internationals in Prestatyn.
The snooker team of Aaron Canavan, Jeremy Gogan, Simon Allenby, Stephen McCrimmon, David Brabiner and Ian Gould also managed an 8-8 draw with Scotland to secure seventh place overall.
They suffered a 17-1 defeat by Ireland, lost 10-8 to Guernsey and were beaten 16-2 by Wales, England, and Northern Ireland.
Highlights for the snooker team included Allenby taking a frame in the match against England and McCrimmon saving the whitewash against Ireland.
Jersey’s Richard de la Haye and Guy Heys were playing for the Island in the senior billiards competition and their best result came with a 1-1 draw against Scotland thanks to a win from Heys.
