The Southampton show attracted more than 120,000 visitors last year
JERSEY Marinas are currently exhibiting at the Southampton Boat Show.
The show began on Friday last week and runs until Sunday 20 September. As well as promoting Jersey as a tourist destination, the team at the show will also be aiming to bring ‘broader benefits’ to the marine economy in the Island.
It is hoped that that Jersey will eventually become a leading northern European marine leisure destination. To enable this to happen, more berths, more boats and more business are all needed.
This year’s Channel Islands stand includes a new stand partner in the form of La Manche Tourism and Marinas.
Speaking about the partnership, Jersey Harbours commercial director, Myra Shacklady, said that the local stand included information about Jersey’s attractions and about the Island’s marine and harbour facilities.
