MORE than 400 Islanders trekked 20 miles along Jersey’s north coast yesterday to raise money for children living in poor African communities.
The route took Islanders from the start of the breakwater at St Catherine to the finish line at Grosnez.
A total of 402 people registered to take part in the walk, organised by the Help an African Schoolchild Trust, with about 330 making it to the finish line.
Organisers have so far collected about £13,000, but expect more money to be donated during the week.
