Treble trouble for Town Choristers

THEY are a popular group who have played to audiences across the Island.

But the successful Town Church Choristers are struggling to scale the heights they are used to – quite literally – because too many of the younger boys’ voices are breaking.

The group now has only 16 singers after four of the younger boys were forced to leave the choir because their soaring soprano has become more of a booming baritone.

And with nature expected to take its course on at least four other boys in the next few months, the group says that it may be forced to cancel some forthcoming concerts.
