In searching for an old friend called Barbara

Doug Learmonth, of Tadcaster in Yorkshire, is hoping to make contact with a friend of his late uncle, who he believes is living in Jersey.
Doug says that he knew Barbara in the 1960s, when he was a young boy, and remembers particularly one occasion that she took him to see the sights of London while he and his parents, John and Peggy, were staying with his uncle, Fred Dawson.
His uncle told him that Barbara had married and moved to Jersey, but he did not obtain her address before his uncle died suddenly a few years ago.
Doug, who is a 59-year-old accountant, does not know her maiden or married names but says that she would be aged around 70 now.
