Why are gas bills going up?

I NOTE that Jersey Gas are increasing their prices by 15 per cent due to wholesale energy price increases.

Interestingly, there was an article in Saturday’s Times about UK energy companies and their prices, in which it stated that ‘the amount they are paying for gas and power on the wholesale market has halved in the past 12 months to the lowest level in almost three years’.

I will let Jersey Gas customers (I am not one) reach their own conclusions.
