Where are we supposed to sit?

Thursday 24th September 2009, 3:00PM BST.

From Valerie Harding.
THE motto for the revamped departure hall at Jersey Airport should be ‘Shop ‘til you drop’ as there are very few seats for passengers and one cannot sit in the enlarged café area for ever and a day waiting for flight departures.

Is there still access to what used to be the viewing area on the first floor? What has happened to the sculpture/fountain that was on the ground floor?

Have any of the people involved in agreeing the plans of this area given any thought to what is going to happen to hundreds of passengers if Jersey has dense fog for a day or more? Answers please.

Just another £4m down the drain to follow the £700,000 for a few glass screens and the moving of the security equipment which took place a few years ago. Tourism figures are going down, not up!
