IT was quite funny reading your article on Jersey having the world’s most expensive lawyers (JEP, 24 September) when, only a few days before that, you had another article on a Jersey lawyer who has a castle in Scotland.
All I can say is that with multi-million pound homes in Jersey and no doubt several expensive cars in the garage, as well as second homes in other countries, how can anyone expect our lawyers to get by charging £50 per hour? We are in a recession, you know.
