A TAXI driver has described the ‘absolute nightmare’ of being involved in the collision that left three girls seriously injured in Grouville on Friday night.

Police are still trying to establish what happened in Rue à Don at 8 pm, when four 17-year-old girls were injured as they crossed the road close to the Lavender Villa Hotel.

Three of the girls were still being treated in hospital this morning. One is thought to have fractured her neck and was found with cuts to her head.

Of the other three, two suffered a fractured pelvis, with one of those girls also breaking her right arm and the other losing a number of teeth. The fourth girl was treated for a swollen ankle and has been released from hospital.
