Stop acting like spoilt children!
Wednesday 30th September 2009, 3:00PM BST.
From Doug Smith.
I HAVE never written to a newspaper before, but after reading in the JEP of 25 September that four of our States Members abstained from voting on free lunches, I wonder why they can’t make a simple decision. It’s very easy – either ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.
I am now wondering how they are going to cope with very big decisions such as whether they are going to have tea or coffee!
The rest of us have to buy our lunch and wouldn’t think about asking our employers for a free lunch.
It is time the people in the Big House understand that we voted them in to do their best for the Island, not to act like spoilt children.
Sorry to compare our States Members with children, but they have to take their lunches to school, too.
