No more packing in Jersey, but no jobs will be lost

A JERSEY flower business will no longer be delivering flowers from the Island.

Up until yesterday Flying Flowers imported flowers from other countries into the Island, where a team of packers would wrap and dispatch them on to customers in the UK.

But now the Jersey link has been cut because Flying Flowers has outsourced its packing and delivery service to UK flower distributor Top Flora.

The head of the Jersey business has said that no local jobs will be lost as a result, nor will there be any impact on the Flying Brands site in St Lawrence, where existing facilities will be used for other areas of the business.
