Mike Coward has achieved his target for this season
JERSEY Archery Association marksman Mike Coward has qualified for the Commonwealth Games in India next year.
Competing at his eighth and final shoot of the season in the UK, Coward achieved his third Master Bowman score therefore achieving the required Commonwealth Games qualification level.
And there was double success for Jersey archers at the Telford Archers Double FITA Star shoot in Lilleshall as Lucy O’Sullivan reached the final of the National Series, which takes place this weekend.
Coward said: ‘Obviously I’m delighted; my shooting is coming along nicely and just for good measure after gaining my third and final qualifying score on the Saturday I then passed the mark again on the Sunday.’
