Two serious fires were among the news stories which produced spectacular pictures during September.

But there was plenty more light-hearted news, including the spotting of UFOs at Gorey and the discovery of Jersey’s own sand artist.

The month also seemed to be packed with events, kicking off with Jersey Live and continuing with the International Air Display, in aid of the RAFA; Dragon Boat racing; concerts by Jersey singing star Nerina Pallot; the Standard Chartered Jersey marathon; and Eurosurf.
