Want to see Jersey? Get on your bike!
Friday 9th October 2009, 2:59PM BST.
From Bob Vincent, manager, Jersey Cycle Tours.
I AM writing in response to anyone who uses the excuse that it is too dangerous to ride cycles on the roads.
There is a huge network of green lanes in the Island, and I have ridden many a time where I hardly seen a car.
If any reader would like a free tour of the best Jersey has to offer, I would be happy to organise it.
Surely if more people cycled, there would be fewer dangerous cars. Jersey is tiny, so get on that saddle!

The reason’s simple, people can’t be bothered. Despite all the moaning about parking charges, petrol prices, possible green taxation, unecessary road works and too many vehicles the fact that most are still happy to drive everywhere shows it’s still the easier option.
