JERSEYMAN Ben Murray could move closer to becoming a professional boxer next week as he is spending five days at Ricky Hatton’s gym in Hyde, Manchester.
Fitness trainer Murray, an ABA semi-finalist on a number of occasions, is looking forward to the visit and mixing it with sparring partners of the seasoned and fledgling pros.
Murray said: ‘It’s my dream to become a professional boxer; I’ve got five days hard work ahead of me and I’m going to see if I can cut the mustard.
‘Not many boxers get an opportunity like this and I’m going to see what it is like. The Hyde gym has had a two million pounds refit; I’m looking forward to see it and I’m well aware that it’s going to be challenging and a big step up in standard.’
