James Quérée playing for St Paul's against Guernsey's Northerners
MURATTI defender James Quérée has suffered an early setback in his pursuit of becoming a professional footballer in the United States of America.
The former AFC Bournemouth, St Paul’s, Jersey Wanderers and Island under-21 captain broke his lower right leg during a recent training session and will miss the rest of the college season.
Quérée, who played a leading part in Jersey’s senior Muratti success in Guernsey last year, is on a four-year scholarship-aided course at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has had a metal rod inserted to aid recovery.
