Pisces back in swim

PISCES GYM in St Brelade has undergone a £5,000 facelift and the boxers who use the facility are certainly impressed.

Pisces Amateur Boxing Club, who spring back into action against the UK Police Communities Club, at the Metropole Hotel, a week tomorrow, provided some of the labour to get the work under way, as did members of the Pisces Thai Boxing Club, who use the gym on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

New mirrors, work on the showers, floors and walls as well as a new sign have given the famous gym an altogether brighter look.

The boxing club, who train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well as Sunday mornings from 10.30 (and ladies’ boxercise on Saturday morning from 8.15), have steady group of boxers in training including Taran Hase, Tom McKenna, Alain Kennedy, Ryan Powell and Ryan Cooke.
