THREE university students have powered through the Economic Development’s undergraduate internship scheme at Jersey Electricity.
David Queen, Matthew King and Marion Buxton spent their summer learning different aspects of the business as part of the internship, which gives undergraduates the opportunity to gain paid work experience.
JEC chief executive Chris Ambler said that the company was delighted to be supporting Economic Development’s internship. ‘I believe that this initiative has proved hugely beneficial both to the students and to the JEC,’ he said.
‘I am particularly encouraged to learn that the experience has given the young people a real hands-on insight into the commercial world and that the Island will benefit from their skills when they have completed their studies.’
