JERSEY might have scored 125 points in their last two games but JRFC head coach Ben Harvey still expects tomorrow’s home game against Portsmouth to be a tough one.
‘At times last week (in their 53-10 win away to Bishop’s Stortford) we played the best rugby I’ve seen at this club,’ explained Harvey. ‘But that only comes about when we get our systems right.
‘Thankfully we’ve trained well over the last six or seven weeks and I’m aiming to go into our Christmas break with only one defeat (which was at Bracknell – the first game of the season).’
‘Every team is capable of causing an upset in this division. We take nothing for granted.’
As always, Harvey will have studied the videos of last year’s games which included Jersey’s 40-20 win at Portsmouth but that result won’t prepare him for the team his side will face at St Peter.’
