JERSEY RFC were the main beneficiaries of some stunning results in National III South East on Saturday.
While an impressive Jersey continued their steam-rollering ways at St Peter with a 67-10 mauling of a far from poor Portsmouth side, two previous strugglers from near the basement were wreaking havoc with the form book – and a couple of promotion chasers.
Havant, just three bonus points behind leaders Jersey before Saturday’s matches, slipped to fourth in the table after a 29-18 loss away to Tring.
But that was nothing compared to the surprise Hertford were to endure away to winless bottom club Sutton and Epsom, with the strugglers romping to a 24-7 victory.
Bracknell, first-day victors over Jersey, move into second spot, five points behind Ben Harvey’s in-form squad, after a 32-14 win over fellow promotion challengers Dorking.
