A WOMAN watched in horror as her husband lost control of his car and plunged 20 feet down rocks at Corbière yesterday.
The pensioner was driving near the causeway at the south-west coast headland at about 12.45 pm when he accidentally drove the vehicle over a wall.
The car rolled over before eventually coming to rest upright wedged between two rocks about 30 feet from the sea. Paramedics treated the man at the scene while firefighters stabilised the vehicle.
The man, who suffered a head injury after hitting the windscreen, was placed on a spinal board before being taken to hospital. His wife was treated at the scene for shock.
