Joe Ellyatt in action in the Middlesex Sevens
FORMER Jersey RFC Youth captain Joe Ellyatt is getting a regular game with Guinness Premiership Club Bath’s A team this season.
Ellyatt, just turned 19, has been training with Bath Academy since August, having represented the club at Twickenham in the Middlesex Sevens.
The tall, powerful forward who is attending Bath University, has come off the bench in the A team’s last four games, impressing when playing the entire second half against Harlequins on Monday evening, when they went down 35-25.
Ellyatt, who missed out on the chance of a Siam Cup berth through injury last season, is taking an honours degree in coach education and sports development at Bath University, as well as playing for their first XV.
