Two world cup titles

JERSEY can now boast a double world cup title-holder in martial arts.
Monika Markowska, who trains in Cho’s Tae Kwon Do, fought to the top of two categories at the World United Martial Arts World Cup in Worcester last weekend, winning accolades in point sparring and light contact sparring at 55kg divisions.
The achievements top a fantastic year for the formidable fighter, who has already won numerous titles.
She said: ‘This is the first time I have won a World Cup title and it is the biggest achievement of my career so far, so I am really, really happy.’
