Charleston University honour for Island golfer

ROYAL Jersey golfer Olivia Jordan-Higgins has been named Charleston Southern University Athlete of the Week.

The 21-year-old secured the American University honour following her second place finish in the Wendy’s International at Coosaw Creek Country Club two weeks ago.

The former Beaulieu student, in her final year of studies in South Carolina, shot a first round 70, the only player under par, to take an early lead from a field of more than 80 golfers and with a second round of 75 secured second place.

The finish was her first top ten finish of the fall season but her second time breaking the top 20.
