A 26-YEAR-OLD woman has been jailed for three years for slashing another woman with a craft knife, causing ‘horrifying’ injuries, in an argument over a drugs debt.

In the Royal Court on Friday, Michelle Bernice Cox admitted a grave and criminal assault on woman A and possessing an offensive weapon, a craft knife, on 2 July at Le Geyt Road, and larceny on 17 March at the Royal Yacht Hotel.

Cox, who had a previous conviction for stabbing a man in the buttock with a penknife, also admitted a grave and criminal assault on her husband and a friend (woman B) on 3 July at Maple Grove, Le Geyt Road.

On announcing the court’s sentence, the Deputy Bailiff, Mr William Bailhache, said: ‘The court is horrified by the injuries you caused and with the use of this particular knife it could have been much worse.’
