JERSEY will need to break a three-year run of victories by Guernsey if they are to win tomorrow’s Ambassadeur Bowl under-21 football Muratti clash.

Last year the Island side suffered an excruciating 3-2 defeat following extra time and team manager Dave Brodie, taking over from Dave Kennedy, is confident his side has the talent to bring the trophy back to Jersey this year.

He said: ‘I’m very pleased with the players we have selected. We had a warm-up game on Tuesday, beating St Ouen 6-0, and I was really impressed with them, their attitude was fantastic and some of the football was outstanding.

‘The biggest thing that impressed me about Tuesday night’s warm up match against St Ouen was just how quick we were, the players all looked really sharp.

The game is being played in Guernsey at The Track. Kick-off is at 2 pm.
