THE Jersey Sports Association for the Disabled’s 18th annual Disability Games have again been hailed a resounding success.

JSAD chairman Paul Patterson says the feedback from competitors has been good and on the back of the demonstration sport of wheelchair badminton, the Island is now being considered as a venue to host the National championship in 2010.

Patterson said: ‘Feedback has been good and many competitors said that it was either the best Games yet, or very close to the best. The demonstration sports of wheelchair badminton and new age curling golf were both well received and Jersey is now being considered as a venue for the National badminton championship in 2010.

‘Obviously no Jersey competitors are anywhere near competing in the championship but it is testament to the wonderful facilities that Jersey has to offer that the Island is being considered to be hosts.’
