NETBALLER Jacy Brown has been selected for Scotland’s senior and under-19 teams as well as the Glasgow Wildcats Superleague squad.

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for the 18-year-old who left the Island to study at Glasgow University in September as she has made not one but three major squads since her move.

First, she will make her international debut for Scotland in the Six Nations Cup in Singapore from 2-13 December where she travels with 11 other girls. Scotland, currently ranked 13th in the world, will face competition from Northern Ireland, Malaysia, Canada, Singapore, and Tanzania with Brown likely to win her first Scotland cap playing as centre, wing attack or wing defence.

The former Convent player, who was last year named Player of the Match in both the senior and U19 inter-insular matches, has also been included in the U19 Scotland squad whose main focus is the Netball Europe U19 Championship in March.

In addition Brown will go straight into the top flight of British netball as she has won a place with Superleague side Glasgow Wildcats, made up of Scotland’s National and U21 athletes, with their first league match against Leeds Carnegie on 19 December.
