CHAMPIONS St Paul’s defeated First Tower United 7-1 at St Saviour on Saturday to chalk up their 13th consecutive victory this season in all competitions.

Former Island under-18 captain Luke Watson, who scored a brace, was on target for the sixth game running while Craig Russell also scored twice with Jordan Docherty, Craig Leitch and Mark Lucas adding singles.

Tower’s consolation, which made it one-all, was scored by under-16 player Bradley Stratford.

St Paul’s win lifted them three points clear at the top of the table on the same number of games played as second placed Grouville, the latter whose home game at Le Boulivot against Rozel Rovers was postponed because of a waterlogged
pitch.
