Jersey setting the benchmark

JERSEY’S regulatory standards have been recognised as an international benchmark for the Seychelles, according to the head of a compliance training company.

Comsure Compliance Group managing director Mathew Beale was in the Seychelles last month to give compliance and anti-money laundering training to the islands’ financial services community.

The Seychelles International Business Authority, which is the licensing and regulatory body for the islands’ offshore business activities, commissioned Mr Beale to run the two-day training in Mahe, Seychelles.
