No police action over baseball bat incident

JERSEY Wanderers Football Club will not be taking disciplinary action against the player involved in a post-match incident with a St Martin/SCF player, the latter who is alleged to have carried a baseball bat.

The States of Jersey police have spoken to all parties concerned and they, too, are understood to be taking no action.

A footballer was allegedly attacked after Saturday’s Jersey Football Combination Championship match at the Hockey Club was abandoned, due to a waterlogged pitch, at half time.
