Curtis Warren
DRUGS baron Curtis Warren is to appeal against his sentence and conviction for a failed plot to import £1 million of cannabis into Jersey.
The 46-year-old – one of Britain’s most notorious criminals – will also try to take his case to the Privy Council to argue that the charges should have been dropped before the trial came to court.
Warren was jailed for 13 years last week after being convicted of leading a plot to execute Jersey’s biggest ever drugs importation. Five other men were locked up for between five and 12 years.
During a trial in September and October this year, the Royal Court heard that the gang tried to import the huge stash of cannabis from Holland via the Normandy coast.
