Thursday 10th December 2009, 3:00PM GMT.
THE mother of millionaire Jimmy Choo boss Tamara Mellon has settled out of court after bringing a £4.5 million action against her daughter in Jersey’s Royal Court.
The socialite’s 70-year-old mother, former Chanel model Ann Yeardye, claimed that she was owed money from a sale of Jimmy Choo shares in 2007.
The case, in which Mrs Yeardye’s Jersey trustees brought an action in the Royal Court against Ms Mellon’s trustees, also based in Jersey, started on 9 November and was due to last for five weeks. However, Mrs Yeardye decided to settle out of court last Thursday.
Ms Mellon (42), who has reportedly made £100 million from her footwear and fashion empire, was in court for each day of the three-week hearing.
