JERSEY’S Football Combination team need to halt a side who put nine goals past their first round opponents if they are to make it into the quarter-finals of the FA National System Cup tomorrow.
Taking on Essex Olympian League at AFC Hornchurch in Upminster will be a tough test, said Dandara Combination manager Jon Welsh, but he is confident it is a challenge that, what is effectively the Island side, can rise to.
He said: ‘We know very little about them except that they scored nine goals in the last round so we know we are up against a very good side.
‘But we’re blessed with a very gifted squad of players and I think if we meet our challenges with the right attitude and application we’ve got a good chance.’
