Boy (8) killed in gun tragedy

AN eight-year-old Jersey boy has died after accidently shooting himself while on holiday in South America.
Joao Calaça-Sousa, a pupil at St John’s Primary School, is believed to have died from blood loss just minutes after the accident on Sunday.
The tragedy happened just hours after the youngster arrived at his aunt’s house near the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, with his father Roberto and mother Louisa.
It is understood that the boy, who lived in St Ouen with his parents, accidently shot himself when he discovered a loaded gun inside the property.

Joao was such a good boy, he was loved by everyone. Just the thought of not having him come round anymore it tears my heart into a million peaces. Everytime he came round I’d have his favourite fruit and yogurt for him. Why, why? So many questions. You will always be in my heart and in the ones who loved you. Rest in peace number 2.

Im really sad now that one of my good good friends died. I really miss him now at st clements he was a good little player eswell. I will always remember you joao and may you lie in peace. Once my neibour joao that would allways be in the house playing with my nephew and allways so happy
and what an adorable litlle angel.
I still remember when he used to say: ( i have too lil girlfriends that as me and another friend of mine and both of us 10 years older than him and he was was so cute.

I’ve worked with .oao dad Roberto, being a father myself we chatted about football and talking kids stuff, I met Joao very briefly a couple of weeks ago and found him to be a bubbly and happy young lad.
I feel very saddened by this shocking news, my heart goes out to the family.

I know the family well and when I first heard the tragic news I thought that this couldn’t be true, unfortunately it was!……..but still feeling in denial!
Can’t even start to think of what pain the parents are going through. I’m very sad to even think that Joao has gone(to heaven)and we will not see him ever again! What a lovely little boy who had his whole life ahead of him. Why is life so unfair? My condolences to the parents who will need lots of strength to get through this very difficult time. Sending all my love & Joao will be truely missed! x

joao was my friend when i was little we used to play in my cousin house and he was very funny too! when i saw the paper i was so sad that i even had nightmares.R.I.P.
