ST CLEMENT eased into the semi-finals of the Trinity Shield inter-parochial competition last night following a 4-0 victory against St Ouen at Les Quennevais.
Given a good game by the Westerners, once St Clement opened the scoring on the half-hour mark there was no looking back for the Easterners and St Clement goalkeeper Andrew Bird did not have a save to make in the last hour.
Steve McGinness nodded St Clement ahead following a free kick before Kieran Lester, Craig Russell and substitute Stuart Brown capitalised after the half-time break.
St Clement manager Ken Addison said: ‘It was a comfortable win in the end; St Ouen played some good football for two-thirds of the first half but once our first goal went it you could see it in their body language that it was going to be tough for them and they did tire, too.’
