THE Island’s two top bobsleighers, Will Golder (21) and Kevan Crowell (24) are briefly back in the Island – complete with their bobsleigh – before they head off to Cesena in Italy for race 7 in the Europa Cup on 9 January.
After that they head to St Moritz in Switzerland for two weeks on 18 January for both race 8 in the Europa Cup and also for the Europa Cup Juniors World Title.
‘It will be tough, because at least two of the juniors are up there with the world champions,’ said Golder, on a fleeting visit to the Island, ‘And on current form, there are ten to 15 teams ahead of us.
‘But until we test ourselves out on the St Moritz course, we won’t know how well we’ll perform. But Kevan and I are still in love with the sport. So it’s all a question of just waiting to see!’
