ALTHOUGH last week’s snow quickly melted, there is still one part of the Island that resembles a winter wonderland.

Thousands of people have been enjoying the atmosphere and the skating at the Sure Skate ice rink at Fort Regent.

Last weekend alone saw around 1,300 people take to the ice rink, which is owned by Islander and former rugby international Kyran Bracken and will be open until 3 January.

Since winning the television show Dancing On Ice two years ago he has gone on to become a professional skater and this summer he brought his show, Kyran Bracken’s Ice Party, to the Island for a second time.
