A giant Ferris wheel erected at Jardins de la Mer prompted mixed reactions. And, mainly as a result of poor weather – the wheel had to be closed for a total of 14 days because of strong winds – owners Funderworld were facing an overall loss of £15,000 at the end of its five-month stay.
