One of Jersey’s smallest schools celebrated its 120th anniversary this year. Helvetia House School first opened its doors in 1889 and has been running from the same address, 14 Elizabeth Place, ever since. As well as remaining in the same building, Helvetia has also remained in the same family for 120 years – its current head teacher, Lindsey Woodward, is the great-granddaughter of the school’s founder Eva Joste. Pictured are three generations of the Joste family in 1910
