Women’s group to promote equality

Paul Savery, managing director of Barclays Wealth in Jersey, supports the idea
Barclays Wealth in Jersey has launched a group designed to ensure that issues of special interest to female members of its team are addressed adequately.
Called the Women’s Internal Network, the group will act as a decision-making body and will run events related to the workplace, though with particular reference to female staff.
Network chairman Carol Bisson said: ‘We have more and more women working in Barclays Wealth at all levels.
‘We therefore wanted to form a group that could represent women members of staff at a local level and ensure that their needs are being met.
‘It is a fantastic opportunity for us to come together and discuss how the organisation can continue with its approach as an equal opportunities employer.’
Paul Savery, the managing director of Barclays Wealth in Jersey, is also supportive of the new group’s objectives.
